Residents in Ballito whose homes were battered by Thursday night’s punishing storm, say it was a terrifying experience.

Some people Newswatch has spoken to say the storm came out of nowhere.
Many people were left in the dark when driving rains, hail and damaging winds tore through the coastal town.

In eMpangeni, 13 people were killed and 29 others hurt when a structure of the Pentecostal Church collapsed during an Easter service.
