KZN govt welcomes arrests of invaders at Durban court
Updated | By Nondumiso Dube
KZN's Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs has welcomed the arrests of five men after an armed group invaded a Durban High Court construction site.
The group, believed to be from a business forum, forced their way onto the site on Margaret Mncadi Avenue and, to gain control of the site, chased workers and contractors away last week.
The high court's undergoing a multi-million-rand renovation that's expected to be completed in 2025.

"Although this is a project of the national Department of Public Works, we have a keen interest in the speedy and successful completion of the project.
"It will not only be a huge boost to the efficient functioning of the High Court, but it is also a timeous boost to the regeneration of the inner city.
