Education MEC Kwazi Mshengu says they're preparing for the return of more learners.
"We continue obviously to grapple with minor challenges such as infrastructure in certain parts of the province.
"The issue of water still remains a challenge, but we want to thank the learners who came back, the educators and also the parents who have been cooperating throughout the process to make sure we secure the future of our learners.
"We are quite confident that we'll be able to do our work in the remaining period," says Mshengu.
