KZN Education Department to meet over 'racism' at Bluff school
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Basic Education says it is due to receive feedback regarding Grosvenor Girls' High School tomorrow, after teachers and school management at the Bluff institution were accused of racism.

Some irate parents say their daughters have had to tolerate incidents of racism.
They have also claimed maladministration and corruption at the school.
Parents wrote to the department saying that black Grade 10 pupils are not allowed to take pure maths and physicals subjects as subjects.
The department’s Muzi Mahlambi says senior officials will meet with the delegation tomorrow.
Mahlambi explains a “report back” meeting with pupils and parents will then be convened.
“It is not our aim to destroy the school - we want to rebuild and reconstruct the school, together, with all the people involved,” he says, “Moving forward, we do not want a repeat of this”.
