WATCH: KZN artists protest after recent killings in KwaMashu
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
Local artists are at the Stable Theatre in Durban to protest gender-based violence.
Their gathering was sparked by the recent murders of a four-year-old KwaMashu girl and two teenage girls.
Sanelisiwe Mhlongo's was found stabbed in a bush in M Section - a day after she went missing.
A 15-year-old boy, said to be her relative, has been arrested in connection with the killing.
The organiser of Thursday's event, Mdu Ngcobo said: "We're going out to KwaMashu to do a campaign against women and children abuse after what happened in KwaMashu where two ladies were found dumped in a bush and the murder of the little girl, Sanelisiwe Mhlongo - who was buried last week. We'll start at Bridge City where we'll also perform with artists."
