There's been a breakthrough in the murder investigation into a four-year-old girl in KwaMashu, north of Durban.
Police have arrested a 15-year-old relative in connection with Sanelisiwe Mhlongo's death.
Spokesperson, Jay Naicker said: "Yesterday afternoon, the investigative team made a breakthrough when they arrested a 15-year-old relative for the murder and recovered a weapon that was used to commit the offence."
Last Thursday, four-year-old Sanelisiwe's body was found in bushes in M-Section - a day after she went missing.
She had stab wounds and a head injury.
The child had been left in the care of a relative while her mother went to work.
Sanelisiwe's mother, Fikile Mhlongo says it's still hard to accept her child's death.

"Even if it doesn't take the pain away, at least I know someone has been arrested for her murder. It's shocking that he is so young. When he was here at home, he didn't show any signs of guilt."
eThekwini Mayor, Mxolisi Kaunda has called for a speedy investigation into the murders of Sanelisiwe and two women in the area.
The women, believed to be in their 20s, were found dead in bushes in P-Section yesterday.
They had been shot in the head.
The mayor's spokesperson, Mluleki Mntungwa has urged anyone who can help police with their probes into these killings to come forward.

"The mayor has strongly condemned this incident and has urged law enforcement agencies to work around the clock and to ensure that perpetrators of the heinous crimes are brought to book."
"The mayor has begun a process of holding seminars in various communities particularly in hotspots for gender-based violence to find lasting solutions to the issue of crime particularly in areas such as Indanda, Umlazi and KwaMashu"
