KwaZulu-Natal police have launched a manhunt for a group of suspects following a cash-in-transit heist on Wednesday morning in KwaMashu, north of Durban.
Provincial police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda says a cash delivery truck was travelling along Malandela Road when the suspects, who were in two vehicles, accosted them.
"The suspects overpowered three security guards and allegedly robbed them of their firearms before fleeing from the scene with an undisclosed amount of money."

Three people were hurt.
In a video shared online, pieces of the armoured truck are seen flying into the air after the blast.
Netshiunda says they can't yet say how many suspects they are looking for.
Previous reports suggested there were as many as 20 men involved.
He's called on witnesses to come forward.
"Police are appealing to anyone who might have information regarding the whereabouts of the suspects to contact the nearest police station or call our crime stop number 10 111."
