Intensive search underway for Folweni CIT robbers

Police say an intensive search is on for the cash-in-transit robbers who attacked a cash van in the south of Durban and killed a security guard.

They say the vehicle came under heavy gunfire on Tuesday morning from the occupants of a bakkie on the M35 in Folweni.
The CIT van crashed into a residential property as it came to a stop on its side.
The driver managed to escape.

Another guard who was hit in the head was airlifted to hospital.
Police say the robbers fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
They are investigating cases of murder, attempted murder and armed robbery.
