A 21-year-old woman is due in court today in connection with the kidnapping of a baby on the south coast last week.
Two-month-old Sbahle Vapi disappeared last Tuesday night from Umzinto.
The child's mother had offered a woman she met a taxi rank a place to stay after the woman claimed she had nowhere to go because she had an abusive partner.
The woman fled with baby Sbahle after the child's mother had gone looking for headache tablets.
Yesterday, Umzinto police arrested the 21-year-old suspect at a school in Msinsini where she is a pupil.
