KZN police are searching for a woman believed to be on the run with a two-month-old baby she's said to have kidnapped on the south coast.
According to police - the child's mother was at the Umzinto taxi rank with two friends yesterday afternoon - when a woman dressed in a pink night gown approached them.
The woman told them she was being abused by her partner and was left destitute.
The 28-year-old mother is said to have sympathised with her and offered to accommodate the woman at her home.

Police spokesperson, Thembeka Mbhele says during the night the suspect feigned a headache.
Mbhele says they believe the woman headed to the N2 highway and made her getaway from there.
"We suspect that the suspect was given a lift on the N2 freeway - either to Durban or to the South Coast. We are just appealing to any motorists who might have given this woman a lift to please contact the police at Umzinto," Mbhele said.
