Investigations still continue in Nquthu teacher sex video

The SA Council for Educators says it's trying to find witnesses in the case of the northern KZN teacher who allegedly appears in a sex video.

The video surfaced last week and is reportedly not the only one featuring the man.

The Education Department suspended the Nquthu teacher claiming it was a pupil appearing in the video that went viral online.

SACE's Rej Brijraj says they've been working through the night on the case.

"We will also wait to see what the police is doing and what the department is doing so that we don't clash, but definitely we will have a say as far as that person continuing to teach is concerned," he said.

The Mercury newspaper reported this morning that the teacher has denied having sex with pupils claiming the women in the videos are adults.

Police are still investigating the matter.

No warrant of arrest has been issued.
