IFP marches against Durban mayor
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
The IFP's
Youth Brigade is marching to Durban City Hall, to call for Mayor Zandile Gumede
to step aside while she answers to corruption allegations against her.
Gumede appeared in the commercial crimes court two weeks ago, along with Councillor Mondli Mthembu and businessman, Craig Ponnan.

The graft charges they are facing relate to a 2016 multi-million Rand waste tender.
The youth brigade says the mayor must be suspended from performing all council duties.
They believe she has already violated her bail conditions by delivering the city's budget speech this earlier this week.
During a press briefing after her budget speech at the Durban City Hall, Gumede said she could not comment on the allegations against her as the matter was in the courts.
Some councillors objected to Gumede delivering the budget.
They interrupted her during the address, asking her to excuse herself from carrying on any further.
Gumede is due back in court in August.
