Hlomuka pleads for more flood relief funds

KZN's Cooperative Governance MEC Sipho Hlomuka has asked Parliament's Ad Hoc Committee on Flood Disaster Relief to help the department secure more funds.
"We will be happy chair and the members if you really assist us as a provincial government now to engage the national government on the basis of giving us more budget for disasters."

Committee members have been on an oversight visit in Umsunduzi on Monday.
They're in the province to see for themselves the extent of the destruction caused by the floods.

The committee has been set up to oversee the response to the floods in KZN and the Eastern Cape, including the allocation of disaster relief funds.
