Hawks, law enforcement working closely in Durban 'explosives' case

Hawks officials say they're satisfied with the levels of co-operation between different law enforcement agencies and affected shops and malls following the discovery of several improvised devices in Durban recently.

Several devices have been found in and around the city while number of bomb scares have also been reported.
In the latest incident, the Woolworths store in Dr. Pixely KaSeme Street in the CBD was evacuated yesterday after a suspicious device was discovered.

Hawks spokesperson, Hangwani Mulaudzi says it was defused as a matter of procedure. They're now trying to establish whether the device was in fact a bomb.
Mulaudzi remains confident that those behind the scares and threats - will be arrested.
