Four men rescued after boat capsizes off Umkomaas, south of Durban

Four men have been rescued after the boat they were on
capsized off the coast of Umkomaas, south of Durban.
The National Sea Rescue Institute says crews were dispatched after a semi rigid inflatable recreational fishing boat flipped at backline offshore of the Umkomaas river mouth.

It is understood the boat had been returning to shore at the time.
The NSRI says the men were able to get to shore safely, while private boats towed the capsized watercraft to shore – where it was righted and recovered.
Local lifeguards, the NSRI and Police Search and Rescue officers attended the scene.

The NSRI says no one was hurt during the ordeal.
The exact circumstances leading to the boat capsizing are unknown at this stage.
