Four hurt after tree falls onto Durban motorists

Four people, including two children, are receiving treatment in hospital after a tree fell onto three vehicles in Durban this morning.
The tree came down on Margaret Mncadi Avenue - that is the old Victoria Embankment - in the vicinity of Joseph Nduli Street - or Russell Street.

The road had to be closed for some time as firefighters and the SAPS Search and Rescue Unit worked to cut the tree from the vehicles.Rescue Care's Ceron Meadows says the injured have since been taken to hospital.
"The people have all been transported through to hospital for the necessary care that they need. Firefighters and the Durban Search and Rescue Unit have also completed their work," she said.
