Fleurs murder accused make first court appearance

The identities of the six men arrested for the murder of Kaizer Chiefs player Luke Fleurs have been revealed in court.
The Cape Town-born Fleurs was shot and killed in a hijacking in Johannesburg over a week ago.
Ndumiso Moswane, Fernando Sive, Nhlakanipo Dlamini, Franky Xaba, Maredi Mphahlele and Hlomikhawu Thembinkosi made a brief appearance in the Roodepoort Magistrate's Court on Friday.
Their case was postponed until next Friday to allow the State to finalise bail information and for the accused to secure legal representation.

NPA spokesperson Phindi Mjonondwane explained the charges they face.
"The hijacking part - that charge falls under robbery with aggravating circumstances. On the charge sheet itself, we have five charges: murder, robbery with aggravating circumstances, possession of ammunition, possession of firearms, as well as defeating the ends of justice."
