The families of two 10-year-old Clairwood boys killed in a revenge plot say they are a step closer to closure.
The mastermind, who also carried out their murders, was slapped with a double life sentence in the Durban High Court yesterday.
"It has been killing me for too long. My son was a good boy. He told me he wanted to be in the police when he finished school."
Maliwa's co-accused, Liziwe Ngwayisha has pleaded not guilty to the murders.
Her trial continues today.
Amahle Maliwa confessed to poisoning and strangling best friends, Njabulo Mankayi and Luyanda Msomi, two years ago.
