Updated | By Noxolo Miya
The case against convicted killer and rapist Thabo Bester case has been postponed to 16 May.
Bester, dubbed the Facebook rapist, appeared in the Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court on Friday.
He escaped from a maximum security prison last May by faking his own death.
Bester was re-captured, along with his alleged accomplice Dr Nandipha Magudumana in Tanzania last week.

"In the case of the accused before court, I want to place it on record that he is already a sentenced person and there is, therefore no need for postponement in terms of simply for bail information," the prosecutor said.
"The State wished to apply that the matter against him not to be postponed until the 17th but rather be postponed for the period of a month for the purpose of police investigations."
Bester told the court he fears for his safety in prison, claiming he hasn't eaten as his meals have been poisoned.

Magistrate Mohlolo Khabisi said Bester, who was sentenced to life in prison, will be remanded in custody.
"In simple terms I cannot authorise Correctional Services to say to them keep the accused at a particular place. I do not have that authority over them.”Show's Stories
