Eventual arrests in Mandeni taxi shooting

Police have arrested four men in connection with a shooting in Mandeni which left a north coast taxi boss fighting for his life.

The man was shot multiple times on Tuesday. The man was taken to hospital under police guard for his safety.
"We can confirm that four suspects who were allegedly involved in a shooting in Mandeni have been arrested. Four firearms, including three rifles were recovered by police. These four suspects are facing charges of attempted murder.
Police say it's believed the group of suspects attacked the taxi owner - by opening fire.
"They shot and wounded him and he was later taken to hospital for treatment. The motive for the shooting is unknown," police spokesperson, Thulani Zwane said.
The suspects were due in court today.
