Elderly Umkomaas couple killed in violent home invasion
An elderly couple has been killed in a violent home invasion in Umkomaas, south of Durban last night.
It is understood that a 37-year-old man entered the couple's home in Willow Glen.

Police say 78-year-old Sathiaseelan Pillay was assaulted with a hammer.His 74-year-old wife, Chinnama (Savathri) was strangled and assaulted.
They both died at the home as a result severe head injuries.
Police say the suspect then took the couple's car and fled.

He was arrested on the N2 in the early hours of the morning.
