DUT SRC demands release of 4 arrested students

The Durban University Technology's Student Representative Council want four students arrested after a violent scuffle outside the Steve Biko campus this week - to be released.
20-year-old, Mlungisi Mandonsela died in hospital after suffering a gunshot wound to his lower back on Tuesday.
Student leaders addressed the media outside the campus gates yesterday.
Police said yesterday that they've taken two private security guards in for questioning as they probe Mandonsela's murder.
"The security guard came with their managers who were carrying guns. They have just used the pepper spray without any reasons. As a result, EFF Student members responded with stones as to open a space for running then the security guard started to use their guns," SRC president, Sesiyanda Godlimpi said.
Lectures were suspended on Monday after protests broke out at the university.
