Students have now been given until next Thursday to complete the process.
This follows protest action at the Steve Biko Campus on the Berea last week over reported changes to its enrolment criteria for Higher Certificates.

On the issue of outstanding debt, DUT spokesperson, Alan Khan says the varsity won't register students with outstanding debt until they've been given a go-ahead by NSFAS and government.
"We are not aware as DUT of government making any commitment to pay towards all existing student debt. In the absence of that commitment all that we can do is unblock NSFAS funded student.
"About 5 000 first time entry students have been approved and unblocked and 10 000 returning students have been approved. All qualifying NSFAS students will be unblocked and this still remains our position."
