Passenger drowns, 3 missing after raging waters sweep taxi away in Weenen

Three people are missing after raging waters in Weenen swept away the taxi they were travelling in.

Cooperative Governance says one passenger - a 40-year-old woman - drowned on Saturday.
Thirteen others managed to escape the flooded, low-lying bridge.

Cogta's Senzelwe Mzila says according to reports from the scene, three people - including two teenagers are still missing.
"Disaster management teams are working none-stop to locate the missing people who are believed to be from one family according to the teams that responded to the incident."
