Daryl Kotze was discharged from hospital yesterday.

He was shot multiple times while driving home on the N3, near Felix Dlamini Road, that's the old Brickfield Road off-ramp, two weeks ago.

Kotze says he can't remember much from that night - only the pain he felt when he was shot.

The father-of-two says he's grateful for the messages of support and donations to the campaign his friend started, to help him get back on his feet.

"I was totally overwhelmed. I couldn't believe the messages from strangers, from old school buddies. I didn't realise at the time - with my wife working for me and I being self-employed - I was stressed about providing for my family," Kotze said.
