LISTEN: Durban videographer discharged from hospital following N3 shooting

Durban videographer, Daryl Kotze is back at home with his family after spending nearly two weeks in hospital.

Kotze was the victim of a shooting incident on the N3 freeway near the Felix Dlamini Road off-ramp last month.

He says it is difficult to explain how happy he is to be home and how lucky he feels to be alive."We told my little 4-year-old that he was going to steal me from hospital. He came and grabbed my hand and said let's go, let's go. My wife said to him let's go and we jumped into the car. He was just ecstatic to think that he was saving me from hospital," said an emotional Kotze.
Kotze had been driving home from the King Shaka International Airport when a group of men opened fire on his vehicle.

The father-of-two sustained multiple gunshot wounds, which saw him spending time in ICU.He was discharged today.
