Dube-Ncube vows to do what's best for KZN

KwaZulu-Natal's new premier Nomusa Dube-Ncube says she will strive to do what's best for the people of the province.
She was elected and sworn in the legislature on Wednesday morning, making history as the province's first woman premier.

"For our people, any of us who are elected representatives are a continuation of the struggle for the creation of a better society, a better county and we dare not disappoint our people.”
Dube-Ncube steps into the role following Sihle Zikalala's resignation last week.
She thanked those who had come before her.

"Ever since we attained democracy in 1994, we have never been led by a female premier in the province.
"The whole country is celebrating the fact that the ANC has made a conscious decision to ensure that the sixth premier under its banner is a female."
