Covid-19 jab rollout for cops to be launched on Monday

The Department of Health will launch the inoculation campaign targeting the country’s police officers on Monday morning.
The launch of the vaccination campaign will be held at Orlando Stadium in Soweto.
Police Minister Bheki Cele and National Police Commissioner Khehla Sitole will be among the first to receive the jab.

The minister's spokesperson Lirandzu Themba says the inoculation of the country’s police officers will start on Thursday.
"The SAPS plans to vaccinate over 180 000 employees at the 108 registered vaccination sites across the country, starting from the 8th of July.
"This is part of government’s national Covid-19 vaccination programme to vaccinate the general population, frontline workers in the security cluster and occupational-health workplace services."
