Court hears investigations ongoing in Sadia Sukhraj case
Updated | By Bernadette Wolhuter
It's a lengthy wait for justice for the family of Sadia Sukhraj, with more delays in the case against the man charged with the nine-year-old's murder.
Sibonelo Mkhize faces charges of theft, kidnapping and two counts of murder - that of Sadia as well as his alleged accomplice.
Sadia was sitting in her father's car in Shallcross when hijackers drove off with her. She was killed in an exchange of gunfire between her father and the suspects.
Appearing in court today, Mkhize was led into the dock today in shackles which were only unlocked for a brief moment while he appeared before the magistrate.
Mkhize was dressed in orange prison overalls with a white t-shirt and red trousers pulled over.
