Sadia Sukhraj case postponed as court awaits DNA report

The case against a man accused of the murder of nine-year-old Chatsworth girl has been postponed.
Sibonelo Mkhize is accused of stealing the Sukhraj’s Hyundai Tucson with little Sadia in the back seat.
Mkhize faces charges of theft, kidnapping and two counts of murder - including that of the child and one of his accomplices. Today, the court heard that a DNA report is still outstanding.
Mkhize is one of the men who allegedly sped off with the family's vehicle in Himalaya Drive in Shallcross.

Sadia sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the abdomen during an exchange of gunfire.
The suspects then collided with a truck not far from where the vehicle was taken.
The case has been postponed until September 19 for further investigation. Mkhize will remain in custody until then.
