KZN police have confirmed a young woman has handed herself over after a three-month baby was found abandoned in Verulam this week.

The baby girl was found by a mango picker on Monday alongside a stream in Dawncrest, north of Durban.
Reaction Unit South Africa says there was a bag next to her containing milk, nappies and a pacifier.
