Court battle aims to disrupt December elective conference: Sabelo
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
The ANC in KZN believes the recent move to take it to court is targeting its crucial December elective conference.
The Pietermaritzburg High Court ruled that the party's 2015 Provincial Elective Conference was unlawful and void on Tuesday.
The conference saw former premier, Senzo Mchunu removed as party chairperson. He was replaced by Sihle Zikalala.

Addressing the media in Durban yesterday, the youth league's Thanduxolo Sabelo says they're convinced the court action was a bid to derail the national conference.
"This court case is not about the provincial conference, it's about the national conference," he says.

Mchunu has has come out in support of Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa to take over the party reigns in December - while the provincial structure favours Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma.
"If they think this will destabilise our resolve on Nkosazane Dlamini-Zuma, they must think again. These comrades are not even contesting the provincial conference. If you can see the former chair, Senzo Mchunu. He is up and down the entire country - addressing chairs in Limpopo and the Free State," he says.
Mshengu says there is no vacuum in the current #ANCKZN leadership. No reason for panic #ANCKZNVerdict pic.twitter.com/85o4Sj3kJa
