KZN ANC confident a re-run PEC would yield the same result

The KZN ANC Youth League says it is confident a re-run of the party's 2015 provincial elective conference would yield the same result.
The party's various structures have been addressing reporters in Durban following yesterday's ruling in the Pietermaritzburg High Court.
The court found that the conference was unlawful.

The ANC Youth League's Kwazi Mshengu disputed claims that appealing the ruling is out of fear of losing a fresh ballot.
"We want to put this one categorically clear, even if the conference was re-run tomorrow, the same outcome of 2015 will be confirmed, in-fact it will be worse. There will not even reach a threshold for that matter. This time they will not reach it, so we are not scared of a re-run of the conference, we can go over it this weekend and reconvene the conference over this weekend. The outcomes of 2015 will be the same, in-fact, it will be worse," he said.
Meanwhile Luthuli House says the ANC in KwaZulu-Natal has jumped the gun by announcing it will appeal Tuesday’s devastating High Court judgment that nullified the party's 2015 provincial elective conference.
ANC spokesperson Zizi Kodwa said the decision would have to be made by the party's national leadership.
