Community leaders demand more visible policing in Wentworth

Community leaders in Wentworth, south of Durban want more visible policing in the area. They say four shootings in recent weeks have claimed the lives of two people.
On Silvertree Road yesterday, gunshots were fired near a school while children had been walking home.
A man was hurt.
Ward committee member for safety, Clint Leverton says police need to crack down on hotspots. He says they are prepared to take back their community.
Leverton says those behind the shootings will eventually be brought to book.

On Tuesday, a man was shot in the leg in a drive-by shooting.Ward committee member for safety, Clint Leverton says police need to crack down on hotspots. He says they are prepared to take back their community.
Leverton says those behind the shootings will eventually be brought to book.
"You may think that you are going to get away with it, you may have gotten away with it over the past few months, weeks or years, but know that the arm of the law is long. We are going to catch you," he warned.
