Forecaster Thandiwe Gumede says there's a possibility of rain on Thursday night, starting on the south coast and extending up to Richards Bay.
"From tonight until tomorrow [Friday] some snow is expected over Lesotho as well as the southern parts of the Drakensberg, but most of it should mainly be over the north-eastern parts of the Eastern Cape as well as over Lesotho."

Gumede says the low temperatures will be accompanied by windy conditions.
"For tomorrow, there's a 60 percent chance of showers and thundershowers across KwaZulu-Natal, with temperatures expected to drop, remaining fairly cold over most parts of the province and particularly cool for areas along the coast."
