Chatsworth man faces more rape accusations

The man who is alleged to have raped five other children in the area, south of Durban was arrested last month.

He made another appearance in the Chatsworth Magistrate's Court today

The State prosecutor told the court that two more counts of rape and sexual assault have been added to the charge sheet.

The court heard that the sexual assault count involved a 3-year-old girl, while the rape involves a 7-year-old.

Some of the children, including the two new complainants, still need to be interviewed.

The case has been adjourned until August so that the interviews can be conducted and for further investigation.

The accused will remain behind bars.
