Chase for suspects after N2 King Shaka gun battle

A manhunt has been launched for two armed suspects in a bush near the King Shaka International Airport.
The suspects fled after a shootout with authorities on the N2 on Friday morning.

The two suspected hijackers are said to have abandoned their vehicle.
They sprinted into the dense bush near King Shaka International.
“Despite the best efforts of law enforcement and K-9 units, unfortunately, the suspects have escaped into the bush. The search will continue and this remains an active crime scene," says IPSS Medical Rescue's Samantha Meyrick.

Police, along with their K-9 unit and other security personnel, have been trying to track them down, with teams scouring areas as far as La Mercy and Umdloti.
