Aaron McIlroy creates comedy magic at East Coast Radio studios

"So stoked to have one of the funniest men in South Africa in the studio with us..." - Danny Guselli.

Aaron McIlroy has notoriously led the comedy spectrum for many years, representing South Africa in the most entertaining ways.

And now he springs his energy onto Durbanites with pride like no other.

Aaron McIlroy's latest one-man show, Comedy Clubthe Final Comedy Frontier, premieres at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre from 15 to 26 May and he joined Danny Guselli at the East Coast Radio studios to chat more about it.

Aaron McIlroy is one of South Africa’s most popular entertainers, with a string of stage blockbusters under his belt in both the public and corporate entertainment circuits.

These include his award-winning satires, 'The Loser', co-written and directed by Susan Monteregge, 'The Golfer', co-written and directed by Steven Stead, and 'ADHD', co-written and directed by Patrick Kenny.

Macbob Production boldly goes where no show has gone before. Conceived and written by the same team that brought you Classical Comedy, Darren King and Aaron McIlroy leave no stone unturned in their dogged search for the funny bone in this latest comedic triumph.

McIlroy’s schizophrenic artistic talents are stretched to their limits in this comedy marathon. Set in an international comedy venue, Aaron portrays a wild selection of eclectic comedians from all corners of the globe.

Our very own Rory Petzer joins Aaron McIlroy in the studio today.
