Dramatic shootout on N2 near King Shaka

Motorists have been asked to avoid the N2 at King Shaka International Airport following a dramatic shootout on Friday morning.

IPSS Medical Rescue's Samantha Meyrick, who was on the scene, shared details of the drama unfolding near the airport.
"There has been a shootout between hijackers and law enforcement. This is an active scene."

She says the suspected hijackers abandoned their car and darted into a bush.
Police are hot on their heels.
