Cele hints at commissioning study on farm murders
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
Police Minister Bheki Cele's hinted at commissioning an in-depth study to probe the driving force behind violent farm attacks and murders.
On Wednesday, Cele visited Normandien - the northern KwaZulu-Natal community rocked by the double murder of farming couple, Glen and Vida Rafferty.
The Raffertys, who were both in their 60s, were ambushed, robbed and killed after they'd driven home on Saturday night.
Their attackers fled in their car - which was later found abandoned.

Cele says they have got to get a handle on these senseless attacks.
"Farm owners, farmers and farm workers - around every life aspect of a farm, we get that research, and we get the information of how can we use everybody and everything to create stability in terms of the communities that live together there."
