Earlier, EFF leader Julius Malema pointed out that it doesn't end here as the impeachment case against the president is yet to be heard.
National Assembly Speaker Baleka Mbete granted the opposition's wish for a secret ballot at the eleventh hour.
Opposition parties believed this would increase the motion's prospects of success.
But the African National Congress (ANC) had been clear in its warning - that those who do not tow the party line will be disciplined.
ANC MP Makhosi Khoza faces charges of ill-discipline for speaking out against the president and publicly calling for a secret ballot.
The ANC in KwaZulu-Natal laid charges against Khoza.
