Bonginkosi Khanyile intends to plead guilty

It appears Fees Must Fall activist, Bonginkosi Khanyile intends pleading guilty to some the charges he’s facing.
Khanyile was arrested two years ago during student protests at the Durban University of Technology.
He's been charged with incitement to commit public violence, possession of explosives and dangerous weapons and illegal gathering, among others.

Khanyile's trial got underway yesterday and was expected to continue today in the Durban Regional Court but his newly appointed advocate, Danie Combrink's asked the court for an adjournment.
He says that his client intends on making certain admissions in respect of four of the thirteen counts he is facing - public violence, possession of a dangerous weapon, and two counts of failing to comply with a police officer's orders.

Combrink says that in essence and following on from consultations with the State, his client intends on pleading guilty with the view of finalising the matter next month.
