Bonginkosi Khanyile maintains his innocence
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Fees Must Fall activist, Bonginkosi Khanyile, says his legal team's been working with ballistics experts to counter evidence brought by the State.
He was arrested during fees protests at the Durban University of Technology in September.
Khanyile faces several charges - including possession of explosives and public violence.

He's suggested the State has no case against him.
"So I'm feeling very confident, and you must remember - one got a bail of R250 - so you can tell from the amount of the bail whether I'm guilty or not guilty," he said.
He appeared in the Durban Magistrate's Court today - where the case was postponed to May for the finalisation of his pre-trial conference.
Earlier this month, Khanyile was granted bail of R250 by the Constitutional Court after lower courts in KZN denied him bail on separate occasions -resulting in him spending more than 100 days at the Westville Prison.
