Probe into claims Bonginkosi Khanyile threatened by officer

KZN police say they're still gathering information on a video circulating online - that apparently shows "fees must fall activist" Bonginkosi Khanyile being threatened by a police officer.
The footage was captured by EFF student activist, Gazuzu Nduli who says the alleged incident happened at a restaurant on the Berea yesterday.
"He started laughing at us. He greeted us, saying 'how're you? This one is out of prison '. That's when we started arguing," he said.
In the clip, the officer can be heard telling Khanyile that he will have his bail revoked. Khanyile has been speaking to Newswatch about the encounter.
"We told him that he is being insensitive and that he ensured he places us in prison for free education. He then started saying he will beat us up and that he'll ensure that we go back to prison," he said.

The EFF has identified the Colonel in a statement, saying he's one of the witnesses who testified against Khanyile being granted bail in court.
The DUT student spent months behind bars before the Constitutional Court granted him bail earlier this year.
The EFF Students Command is set to open a case of intimidation against the officer at the Berea Police Station this morning.
