Another shootout on Durban's roads has left two suspected robbers dead.

The men were killed in a gun battle with police and private security officials on the M13 in the vicinity of Paradise Valley on Thursday.
Magma Security's Shaheen Suleiman says in the afternoon yesterday a report came through about a robbery-in-progress at a shop in Escourt.
They were given a description of the car used by the culprits.

"Police spotted the vehicle and security companies spotted the vehicle on the M13. When trying to stop the vehicle suspects opened fire on the police and the security company,” says Suleiman.
"Police returned fire shooting two suspects. Two suspects were deceased. All exhibits were recovered and an unlicensed firearm was recovered."
Meanwhile, six suspects have been confirmed dead after a shootout on the N2 between police and an armed gang that hit a clothing outlet in Empangeni this week.
