ANC officials prepare for re-run of provincial conference

Preparations ahead of the re-run of the 8th ANC Provincial Conference are underway.
The KZN Provincial Task Team took the decision to reconvene the conference to elect a new PEC from the 19th to 21st July.
The conference was meant to be held at the University of Zululand last month however, it was cancelled when several regions were granted an 11th hour interdict by the Pietermaritzburg High Court.

In a press statement released on Friday, the party says the decision was made after an extensive discussions to find solutions to all challenges that led to the court interdict.
The statement says both the applicants and defendants have decided on an out of court settlement.
The party says they will ensure a suitable venue is secured for the 8th Provincial Conference.

The Pietermaritzburg High Court ruled previously that the results of the party's 2015 provincial elective conference were unlawful.
