In KwaZulu-Natal yesterday, the Pietermaritzburg High Court granted the ANC in the province leave to appeal an earlier decision to declare its 2015 provincial elective conference unlawful.

The court also granted an execution order sought by the so-called rebels for the PEC to vacate office pending the appeal.

Judgements were also handed down in the Free State and North West.

Mantashe is adamant the conference will be conducted in a unified manner.

"The unity is not the unity of leaders. It is the unity of the body of the ANC, that is what we are investing in," he said.

Mantashe said recent themes have been about all ANC presidential candidates accepting the outcomes of the conference.
