Alleged ex-employee arrested in connection with murder of Chatsworth woman

A 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of an elderly woman in Chatsworth, south of Durban.
The body of Jinsee Hairam was found in her Kharwastan home yesterday.
The 72-year-old pensioner had been strangled to death after four suspects entered her home.

Another woman, who is believed to be her daughter was also attacked during the home invasion and was rushed to hospital.
Police spokesperson, Jay Naicker says following the murder, police worked around the clock interviewing witnesses.
"The investigation led them to Greyville where the suspect was arrested. It is alleged that the suspect was previously employed by the complainant to conduct maintenance on her property. An identification parade will be conducted on by detectives."

He will appear in the Chatsworth Magistrate's Court soon.
