3 children die in separate KZN drowning incidents

The body of a five-year-old girl who drowned on a north coast beach has been found.
The child disappeared underwater on Sunday while swimming near the Tugela River Mouth.
Rescuers were called out but were unable to find her body on Sunday.

Police say a search and rescue team from Durban found her body two kilometres away from where she was reported to have drowned on Monday.
On Sunday, the bodies of two boys aged 11 and 12 were pulled from rives in Umlazi and Pietermaritzburg after they too drowned.
The body of an 11-year-old boy who drowned in the Umlazi River was recovered by a local councillor on Sunday morning.

The boy drowned on Saturday.
Community members also recovered the body of a 12-year-old boy who drowned in a river in Pietermaritzburg on Sunday.
Both boys got into difficulty while swimming and drowned.
