21 cops back in the dock for death of Chatsworth man
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Twenty-one police officers, arrested in connection with the murder of a Chatsworth man in custody, are due to line up in a Durban court again on Friday.
They're facing multiple charges linked to the torture and kidnapping Regan Naidoo in 2018.
The suspects are all out on bail.
Spokesperson for the Independent Police Investigative Directorate Grace Langa explains what they believe could happen on Friday.
"We suspect that we might be looking at whether the accused have legal representatives or not.
"We are also looking at whether the prosecution is satisfied with the amount of investigation or will they need further investigations as well as whether there'll be postponement or not. This is what we suspect."
